Any company can use Made in the U.S.A. stickers easily. We’re sure you know that most customers look over an item before they buy, and they look in a few key locations. Try to put the sticker in one of these places to insure that it will be seen. A great place to put it is next to the price tag or on the label for the product. Putting it near the size or product information is also ideal.
Don’t be shy about having products made in the U.S.A. It used to be that many products were created in America, today far less are actually made here. Letting your customers know that your product is American made can be very good for your business. Choose the largest Made in the U.S.A. stickers that will fit on your products so they are easy to see and easy to read. And include this information in all of your company materials, such as at your website, letterhead, press releases and social media profiles.
Whether your company is big, small or something in-between, you’ll also see success when employees are encouraged to add the stickers onto the products. Talk to your assembly line or employees who prepare products for retail stores, and explain to them how important it is to let customers – and retail stores – know that your product is American made. By adding this sticker, sales could not only continue but they might increase, which could be helpful to every employee.
Consider sending a personal note to the retail stores that sell your products, letting them know you are adding this U.S.A. sticker. Some of your long-time retail buyers may already know you sell an American made product. For others this may be new news that they are hearing. Don’t be surprised if some of them respond by increasing their order. Depending on what type of product you have, it could be helpful to have a poster or sign to go with your display to let customers know that your product is proudly made in America.
Try giving your product label a makeover so it compliments the sticker best. No company likes to think about changing things, especially when something is working well. But consider this: many customers not only look for U.S.A. made products but have stated they will pay more for these products – and – they will go out of their way to find them! It is as if you are avoiding a loyal, potential customer by not letting them know about your American made products. Ask an employee or a graphic designer to “tweak” your product label to easily enhance how the sticker looks on it, so this is very prominent and you’ll likely be pleased with the results.
Products made in the U.S.A. are good for the American economy and help keep jobs in the U.S. Let your customers know about your U.S.-made products!
